On 17 January 2013, Idea Lab Events for client FNB and Metropolitan Republic, was privileged to be the live event partner for the launch of an FNB Brand Campaign that carries a message from the voices we seldom hear, the children of South Africa. Metropolitan Republic conducted a nationwide survey to understand how our children feel about our country and our future as a pre-amble to the campaign and the final message reflects the collective view of more than 1 300 children interviewed.
The live broadcast event attended by 200 VIP Guests and Media was a first ever for advertising in Africa with the actual television commercial being recorded and broadcast live from Naledi Secondary School in Soweto.
The chosen venue for the live advert, played an integral role in the events of 1976, a time when the youth of South Africa sent a message that could not be ignored, and in doing so, helped change the future of our country.
