The Idea Lab Events team were privileged to partner with MES and Madulammoho for Hillbrow Unplugged 2013 – An event designed to discover the hidden gems of our city – this was a multi-sensory journey of re-discovery in the heart of Hillbrow. 200 guests were invited to travel through moments of excitement to uncover, discover and recover the precious gems at the BG Alexander Centre. With soup sips on the rooftop overlooking the city by night, performances by the talented Lira and Cat Simoni that set the chilly night on fire and a culinary twist of traditional downtown fare – silver service bunny chow – guests were kept entertained and informed on the incredible work that MES does to literally change the heart of the city.

MES is a registered non-profit organisation that has been serving the homeless and destitute community in the city of Johannesburg for over 25 years. Their vision to change the heart of the city by empowering people holistically to live independent, sustainable and meaningful lives is inspiring and Idea Lab is proud to offer MES Event and Production Management Services as part of our social outreach programme and we look forward to many future partnerships and the chance to truly make a difference.
